We had a chance to get very close up to the action when the Lloyds Bank National Road Championships run by British Cycling came to Darlington last Friday evening. Was rather scary to see how fast they were going on streets which are usually either for pedestrians or busses only! Congratulations to everyone involved for putting on a great event, bet the riders could have done with some of our glucose Fruit Drops to help them recover. 😄 For an offical British Cycling race report click here.

We recenty caught up with The Marlow Murder Club series which was on the Drama channel.
Within the first few minutes of the initial episode one of the main characters sat down at their desk and opened a tin of Fruit Drops. Being eagle eyed we notice that they were made by the same company who make the sweets we supply! We're proud to use Simpkins who have been producing boiled sweets for over 100 years in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Although our tins come with plain outsides so as not to distract from the designs we put on the lid labels for our customers. Not sure any of the tins we've received have had quite so much powdered sugar in them though!
The Aston Martin Owners Club recently held their Spring Concours at Sandringham House in Norfolk. It was the first time this event had been held at the home of the King & Queen and King Charles allowed a selection of his cars to be on show.
We were very pleased to be involved by supplying a special edition tins of Fruit Drops to mark the occassion. For further details of the event and club visit their website at: AMOC Order 50 tins and we'll add 5 more to the total for free!
You even get to pick which of our 30+ designs you fancy. If you're a current stockist why not try a new animal? Just quote the code JUNEFREE5 when you send us your order. Offer finishes at midnight on 30th June 2024. We were very happy to see that Tornado, the steam engine which was built a few minutes walk away from our HQ, is back on track after a long overhaul.
Especially as we recently worked with the owners, the A1 Steam Trust, to design tins of Coal Nuggets and Fruit Drops featuring the loco on the labels. These are now available via their website www.a1steam.com and will also be on sale on board when she's running trips. We're not sure what we're going to write about here but it will be things we've posted on Social Media, Special Offers and links to our customers and people we've encountered along the way.
So stick around for the ride! |
